Headphones Music on Construction Sites Is Up to Employer Discretion, says OSHA
Music is integral to our lives. We listen to it on the way to and from work, while doing the dishes, at parties, and even on the job. However, there are arguably some jobs where listening to music through headphones could cause more harm than good. Employers in the construction industry asked OSHA about the regulations and recommendations the organization had about music headphones on site.

California Sees Rise in Worker Deaths for 2018
The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) reported that 422 workers in the state died on the job in 2018. The DIR noted that 376 died in 2017 and 2016, 388 in 2015, and 344 in 2014.

 

OSHRC fully staffed again after Senate confirms two nominees
OSHRC, an independent federal agency that rules on disputes over OSHA citations and penalties, was down to one member, Chair James J. Sullivan Jr., and did not have the required quorum of two commissioners since April 27. As a result, the commission has not issued a final decision since March 28.
