Dynafor calibration system

Dynafor - Instrument for measuring tensile forces

This video shows the main process of a calibration operation. Every Tractel Dynafor is calibrated according to a precise and approved procedure. Made on a semi-automatic bench, this procedure ensures that all Dynafor products are correctly calibrated, with a highly precision.

Dynafor calibration process

  • Each Dynafor is mounted on the test bench, with specific mandrels that assures a perfect positioning.
  • After positioning, the test bench applies several loads to the Dynafor and reads two values:
    • The value given by the Dynafor
    • The value given by the test bench (as known as the master cell built in the machine that is pulling the Dynafor). This master cell is the reference and is calibrated every year

At the end of this first run, the computer adjusts the Dynafor values to the master values. The Dynafor is turned off and turned back on to set the corrected parameters and values in it.

  • The cycle restarts again to verify new measurements at several points. All the parameters are confirmed in the Dynafor to conclude the calibration.

Tractel manufactures Dynafor measurement devices

Dynafor devices are precision load indicators to measure tensile forces and hanging loads. Different Dynafors can measure different loads and tensions starting from a few kilograms up to 250 tons.

The precision of these devices has to be high. The allowed error is 0,1% up to 0,5 % of full scale, depending on the device model.

Load Measurement and Control

Tractel's range of load measurement and control consists of load indicators, overload control systems, and tensiometers. They are ideal for use in industrial and infrastructure applications. Our equipment is tested to the highest standards.
