Applications

The SOLO platform is design for the lifting of one person with his equipement, particularly for lightweight applications, such as painting, refurbishing, jointing and repairs, window cleaning, etc.

Solo platforms are mainlly used with monorails and davits but  it couls also be used with trolleys or Viper and Venus BMUs

Description

Cradle
- 1 hot dip galvanized steel stirrups
- Aluminium floor panel
- Aluminium guard-rails and panels
- Guard-rail covered with full aluminium clad sheet

Lifting mechanism
One tirak™ traction hoists equipped with a service brake, an overload detecting device and a centrifugal brake.

Suspension wire ropes
Galvanized steel Ø 8 mm wire ropes, one lifting wire rope  and one safety wire rope in one suspension point.

Fall arrest device
One blocstop™ BSO fall arrest devices  fixed on each stirrup engage on the safety wire ropes in the event of a failure on the lifting wire rope. The blocstop™ also ensures the detection of a tilting cradle.

Wire rope reeler
The suspension wire rope are wound on 1 powered double reelers with friction clutches.

Control box
The electrical control unit (34) controls lifting and lowering and ensures power supply and control of traversing movements when powered monorail trolleys are used.
